      1 cup yellow cornmeal
      1 cup all-purpose flour
      1/4 cup granulated sugar
      1 tablespoon baking powder
      1 teaspoon salt
      1 egg
      2/3 cup of melted butter
      1/2 cup honey
      1/2 cup milk

Oven at 375, I set the cast iron skillet in the oven as it heats up. Once everything is ready I will pull out the skillet, make sure i rub down the entire skillet with a stick of butter, pour in mix, and cook 15-25 minutes until its golden brown.
Definitely making this in a few days!

I usually add a good bit more meat. When I made it at work I would use two packages but with about 7 pounds of meat. It did not change the flavor but just made it thicker and more meaty. I would usually use about 5 pounds of ground meat and then another 2 pounds of pork stew meat in about 1/2-3/4 inch chunks. The people at work loved it when I made it with the stew meat (I have also used beef but I like the result with the pork better). The ground meat gives the thickness and texture to the chili and the stew meat kicks it up another level.

Mary's mom had us some of that ready when we got back from the Hill Country this weekend. I made a sandwich for lunch before I remembered the leftovers in the fridge. I woulda much rather had the chili. Blakes is about as good as it gets.

Now that cornbread, I am going to have to share that with Mary's mom to see what she thinks.

We love all Blake’s products. Chili, fajita, taco seasonings are all legit. Also order his boil seasoning in bulk. Great stuff from one heck of a nice dude.

Just made a batch with the ole Rajun Blaze chili mix with Smarts Shiner bock recipe! Its killer! Been ordering Blakes products for awhile now and I always get them as gifts for my hunting compadres during the Holidays.

Thank you Blake and look forward to my next big order....
