Why cant/couldnt dogs be used for tracking in Harris?
In 2011 it was still illegal to use tracking dogs to trail wounded deer in Harris, Harrison, Houston, Jefferson, Liberty, Montgomery, Panola, Polk, Rusk, San Jacinto, Trinity and Walker counties. That ban was lifted in 2013. Its still illegal to use dogs in 10 deep east texas counties Angelina, Hardin, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, and Tyler counties - places where some hunters can't give up old habits (hunting deer with dogs, a practice thats been illegal in texas since 1990).

But a dog in Harris county is legal now! I think.

Pretty obvious that you don't go to the Politics forum.
