High School coach essentially. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, but his jobs at the college ranks have been more about recruiting than coaching IMO. He has ties to HS kids/coaches in Texas. There are probably some folks on here that know him personally and can speak to his football IQ/coaching ability better than I can. As an outsider, he appears to be a poor mans Chad Morris. Basically a good ole boy situation....I have nothing against him and hope he has success. He has done well for himself!!! CEO of a D1 program is a long ways from Gilmer HS!
