I let one of my kids answer the phone. It usually starts with something like "this is Bob Ross, what's your favorite color" or "my guts are rumbling, can you hear this". They can keep them on the line for at least 5 minutes until the DA figures out the game.

Pretty sure if you answer it goes into an algorithm that makes the calls come more frequently.

Curt, I believe the FCC has a division that will go after these folks.

You might research FCC website and be able to file a complaint.

I have heard in the past, some people get a large settlement for such harassment as your getting.

I just filed a complaint online with FCC. Thanks for that heads up.

I was told at one time that if you answer and just put the phone down without hanging up it keeps their end tied up where they can’t make anymore calls until you hang up and they will not call back. Don’t know if that really works.

If that's true, guess you don't have to worry about anybody calling, as long as the phone is off the hook.

Home phone ? Get rid of it and your cell phone can block those calls. Haven’t had home phone in 6 years. Good luck. I too hate those telemarketing people.

It's 11:00am and since 8:00am, I've had 8 calls from the same people trying to provide me with additional Medicare benefits.
