Just got word that Justin smoked a doe.

And my little brother has our target 8 point on the ground back at the Polk County River Bottom.

Small 8 is still feeding around us.

Wind has picked up quite a bit and I’m glad for it. It has help calm him down.
Nathan is rounding up Justin & Ben.

We are gonna keep sitting a bit since since we have a live decoy in action.

We called it.
Back at camp and helping Justin with his Doe.

Gonna grab a bite. Go brush in a ground blind and maybe do some fishing.

Considering a mid day set but not 100% set on it yet.

Got some food in our belly’s, courtesy of Droptine3030.
Talen got to help him eliminate some pigs caught in a trap last night.
Set up a ground blind in a spot to hunt this evening.
Now we are wet’n some lines.
Ben has biggest fish of the day.
Not a bad day all the way around.
Oh & T is catching what seams to be some much needed rest because even a chain saw didn’t wake him up.

Back in the stand!
It’s a chilly 81 degrees with a stiff 14 MPH South wind.
Had does in the corn when we drove up.
T has the green light to shoot any mature Deer or Axis. And Ol Dad has his bow too.
Maybe we can pull off a father/son double this evening.

Not a lot of action for us so far. A few does and a 6 pnt all out of bow range.

Justin had axis trying to come in on him but would not commit.

Ben ran an arrow thru an 8 point and Nathan has been covered up with deer and turkeys.

I’ll update after dark.
