Just eased up to the stand. I have zero regrets about building that pen. A lot of deer activity already.

In the past week I’ve had more activity from 9-12 AM FYI.

Good luck to everyone hunting this weekend.

By the way his deer surprised me he is definitely a giant When you put eyes on him . And it couldn’t of happen to a better guy . Donnie is a good dude no doubt just like you said he was .

That's awesome! He called me Wednesday or Thursday on his way out there. He was excited to get there. Glad to hear he stacks up, all the way to 5'6Lol.
He hasn't sent me any pics. I'll text him for some LDPs.

            First trip of the season

Sat on the oat patch Friday evening and saw 78 deer, 27 were bucks. A few 130-140ish types.
Sat in the tin can Sat morning and saw a 3-4yr old 130ish young one. Gonna be ok in a couple of years. 2 other dinks and 8 doe. Sat in the Southwest corner and saw a really nice 4yr old 140, 10, no pictures and 6 doe.

We retired our 13 yr old bbq pit and brought in a rookie. We went way over board on new lights for camp too.

Great weekend! The group saw some good uns.

Only one hit the ground. Mid 50s I'd guess.

3 inches of rain in Throckmorton since yesterday. Going to be a sloppy one this weekend.
