Maybe, some of those sight fishing guys just have better eyes than the rest of us, fished one event with and water was stained at best and boater I drew was sight fishing beds. He even brought me up to the front deck to show how it worked and I couldn't see squat of what he was looking at, and yes I had polorized glasses too.

Yes the water is almost crystal clear in those lakes. Long makes underwater videos of schools of giant bass in those lakes and usually there’s a good 20-30ft range of visibility.
