After an extremely dry summer, and a ranch riddled with destruction from bears. Season finally got here with a lower excitement level than years past, as feeders were destroyed, cameras destroyed, and just not much overall knowledge of what the ranch had this year, accustom to years past! With that said i knew deer i was hoping to see that i had passed to get to this season. Hunting was ok nothing mature had been seen, and nothing wanting to get in feed pens due to bears made for “different” approaches. Was by pure divine intervention i spotted this buck low and slowly sliding through the brush. Which is What i love so much about hunting, as it can literally turn on a dime at any second! I’m glad to see years of patience and passing of a buck come to fruition as it’s a true honor to wrap my tag around “slugger” I’ll soak this one up no doubt as it’s must likely a once in a lifetime moment.
