I caught quite a few bass on a Bill Norman weed walker lure. It was a plastic spoon that had a blade cut out in the middle that would spin and throw water. Great top water bait over grass.

I've been trying to remember the name of that bait ever since this thread started. It's been driving nuts! Thank you!!!

Worked the Academy fishing counter during my A&M years in the early 90s. We had a bait I'd sure like to find again. It was basically a big ole buzz bait but the 'blade' was Styrofoam. It floated and threw a heck of a wake/splash. Blade was painted gold.

Anyone remember what that was called? Or better yet does anyone know if they are still manufactured or available?

Man, I slaughtered the bass back in the day on that thing!

I sold a lot of them but never used them

I remember getting one of these for Christmas when I was 13. Was too afraid to throw it because I didn't want to lose it. Was mainly kept in the tackle box as a novelty.

This one was chrome originally...the patina is from bass teeth not age!

I remember shelling out my hard earned money on some baby snake lures (copperhead and moccassin). Never got a hit on those **** things.

I think I still have that buzz bait you're talking about op, I'll take a pic tonight. I'm selling it too for $50.

I've been using the Choppo 130 size lately and smacking them good on it in the silver/black color. Good luck

Anyone remember the Helicopter Lure?? I could catch tons of pond bass with them, never caught a thing in an actual lake with them though lol

Same here. Had one pond that those worked like magic in for some reason. Wouldn’t have a bite anywhere else.
