Jason, had a good friend (about my age) and my Mom (about your age just go thru very similar sounding situations. The antibiotics worked for both and they are both back to 100% after a few days in the hospital. In our prayers for a full recovery Dude!

Prayers to Jason and family, not a fun deal at all. I had this in my 20s had to change my diet completely, and beat it got lucky.

Prayers sent. Most people are just like me and did not know how dangerous diverticulitis can be. My wife had to have two colon resection surgeries in 2019 because of this. The first surgery did not remove enough of the bad colon and that's why she had to have the second one. This is a major surgery along with a long recovery time. I say this from experience. Make sure they get it all first time if you have to have surgery!
