          I've started filling all the checks with black epoxy, and I love the way it looks, but that piece looks great with the checks.

              How long does it take for the wood to dry before its ready to be used in a build? Did you have it dried or just air dried?

                  Air dried, I use 1 year per inch of thickness, as a rule of thumb.
                  I then check it with a moisture meter. Anything below 9% is acceptable for me.
                  With the humidity, in this area, it's hard to get it any drier.
