Amazing how quick they turned into SEC super fans, isn’t it?!?!?

May need to go back and grab some screen shots of all the SEC SEC SEC mocking posts by several of the newly created SEC super fans.

Cutting through the bull****, it’s surprising more Aggies aren’t with Johnny Football on this.

“I think Texas A&M is in a great position no matter if Oklahoma or Texas decide to come, and it looks like they’re going to. So I think it’s great competition for the league, and I think it will make our conference better. And lucky for A&M, we have a nine, almost 10 year head start on both of those teams being in the SEC. So, ya know, the rivalry’s been gone for a while and now it looks like it’s gonna come back, so it’s time to just sack up and go play the the game. Ya know, we’re in a good position, we have a good coach, we have a good team. If they want to come to the SEC and see what it’s all about, we welcome them with open arms. But it is no cakewalk, and it is not the Big 12, so it should be interesting to see how things play out.”

The schedule I saw posted was pretty cake walkish.

Last season and this are definitely most favorable schedules we’ve had since joining! I saw JFF comments, great class. He probably couldn’t say what he really wanted to say, trying to be a Pro Golfer and all.
TU currently a favorite against everyone but OU and Iowa ST, with TCU being almost a coin flip.

Yep, the Vegas outlook is 8- with new QB and staff.

But, the best bet is under 8.

t’s been awhile, so maybe I’m off base.

If we’re going this route, then you might as well do away with scholarship limits, let schools directly pay players, implement full on free agency and eliminate Title IX balance for women’s athletics.

Sorry, I’ve come to have higher expectations from you (that’s a compliment, btw.)

It has nothing to do with socialism IMO. It's about amateurism vs professionalism. This is the part that is going to ruin cfb.

Also, just like in Nascar; they are leaving the regional, smaller markets that make cfb so great. They tried to turn Nascar into a national event and it basically flopped and alienated the original fans that made it an 'event' to begin with. The new landscape will be sensational briefly and then essentially fade away I'm afraid. I hope I'm wrong

In regards to direct pay and everything else you mentioned up there, I would be fine with that. It would be honest. The system now isn’t and hasn’t been for a very long time. Most of those things are currently in place already. They are just done under the table.
No matter the rules in any arena, someone is going to try and circumvent them. Anarchy and letting the inmates run the asylum seems like a poor solution.

I have no issue with TX/OU joining the SEC and doing what's best for them.
The issue I have is the direction CFB/Athletics is headed(or already done). Call me on old fuddy duddy I guess....

Of the top 40 most watched Big12 games Texas or OU are in 37 of them including the RRS.

I honestly think this is a hypothetical take that may take another decade or two to "possibly" come to light. Texas and OU opened the doors to an insane amount of click bait when this leaked. Most of which likely has very little to no traction whatsoever. The media rights/Big 12 were to be negotiated and they decided to pull the plug on their membership.

10 years ago we thought there would be several that would try to get to 16. I thought Texas would end up in the B1G or ACC back then. Even with this move, I'm not sure I buy that anyone else is truly in a rush to expand.

Looks like Kansas and Iowa State made a run at the Big 10 and got crickets, Big 10 would rather have USC + another AAU and KU and ISU are not at the top of that list.

                              Prarie View A&M 99.8%
                              New Mexico 98.5%
                              Kent State 97.9%
                              South Carolina 93.2%
                              Colorado 88.2%
                              Mississippi State 83%
                              Arkansas 81.6%
                              Missouri 79.5%
                              Auburn 78.7%
                              Ole Miss 66.9%
                              LSU 64.3%
                              Alabama 34.4%

On a side note, I like Following Vegas odds. Glancing through numbers right now. Texas opened as a -16.5 favorite against Louisiana Lafayette and has already dropped to a -9.5 favorite. Interesting
Well now I see why Aggies are predicted to win so many games. Literally 2 good teams on the entire schedule and a few mediocre one.
