I’m usually a traditionalist but I’m glad I went with the all-weather version for my truck/buggy rifle. If it gets banged around a bit I don’t worry about it

I'm a fan. I've got an original Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker, a Remington 700 Ti and a Barrett Fieldcraft. The fiance has a Ruger Hawkeye stainless as well.

I've never spooked anything that I'm aware of with those weapons.

Only in black, otherwise way to shiny

                Me

Well I own one stainless, but it's my only deer rifle.

I like them a lot, especially when they are dressed up nice with matching Leupold scope!

Being more resistant to rust and corrosion over CM, I perfer to use SS firearms when in wet/snowy/cold weather.

If you have ever spent time afield in 0 degrees and below with a rifle and then go into a place with a little heat and you see ice form over the entire gun you'll be happy to have a stainless one.

I love the classic blued/walnut look. If I am actually going to be out in harsh weather, then a stainless/composite rifle gets carried.

                        I love it..
If your deer are close enough that a "shiny" stainless barrel spooks them then you need to be bowhunting..

They look great with matching scope and rings

I don't know how many I own in stainless but I really like them. I don't like to sit in a blind, prefer to spot and stalk so guns get drug through the brush and barbwire fences. If it is raining or snowing, they definitely have the advantage.

                              For .223 with a floated bull barrel @ 20" = YES!

                              416R Stainless - hand lapped, .223 Wylde @ 1:8 twist; 55 Grain @ 3200 fps

Group is 40 rounds - 20 round MAGs x 2 @ 100 yards. Shot without letup for heated barrel accuracy test.

Target squares are 1 inch cubes

My Ruger Mini 14 is black synthetic with matte stainless. It takes a beating and keeps on ticking.
