I don’t think the “ flavored” coffee would be any different, I use a coffee rub on steaks and chicken ( not nearly the same as this) and you can’t taste the coffee. But it really makes for a good meal.

Man, I had forgotten about how good this was. Need to do it again. As stated earlier I would urge you guys to maybe cut back on the amount of salt ratio as the bacon adds salt as well. Equal parts sea salt is too much IMO.

Thanks again for the recipe Kyle.

Glad this got brought back up. do you just use enough rub to cover the entire bstrap? understand don't do equal parts salt... also anyone try it without wrapping bacon?

Don't get me wrong I like wrapping with bacon just some times don't want to spend the time and like to have a bit of crust on the bstrap.

Yes, that’s what I did. Like the 2nd pic in post #53. As for not wrapping in bacon IDK. I think the bacon kinda helps bind the rub to the meat. Try it and let us know. The flavor profile is awesome.

Have you tried this method on Venison? Maybe the pork tenderloin already had a certain amount of sodioum in it (assuming store bought) resulting in it being a bit over salty where as the venison not being processed at all could handle the salt. I going to have to try this out with pork because I don't deer hunt any longer. Would you think cutting the salt in half do the trick?
