            Late in the season antlers become all white and chalky before they fall off and essentially ugly or not as pretty as they are in the beginning of the season. Antlers late in the season can also be damaged and broken from the rut. Thats the only reason I can see someone making that rule, but I dont know much

                  I shot my buck last weekend. I’ll be at it again Friday trying to shoot does and culls. Hasn’t been easy.

                          Ha, glad I wasn’t the only one coming up short. Had one doe step out at 200+ yrds and tried a free hand shot, plowed the ground instead. It’s been a weird season for everything, waterfowl, deer and pigs, at our place.
