Beautifully written, Dale. Patek never met a stranger and I feel confident saying anyone who knew him regardless of how long, walked away feeling like they’d gained a close friend. I’ve told the Patek on Patek story to countless people over the years as it says a ton about someone’s character that they’d go through with a bet like that. So many prayers to everyone connected to Matt, he was truly one of the greats.
