I was meeting with a realtor this week and she swore she had black panthers near her property in Lavernia. I mentioned that maybe she meant mountain lion, light brown. Nope she was seeing black panthers!! I just let it go.....

I saw a dead cow in a tree in Utah in the national forest. sounds weird but I darn sure took a picture.

Seeing a bear anywhere in eastern, western or southern part of the state would not surprise at all. A few years ago, a collared beat from Big Bend found his way into lakeway. He was captured and retuned west. They will travel hundreds of miles sometimes.

North of the river bridge or south of it?
Between Sant Village and Navasota city limits

In between jobs. So, I can't say yes but I won't take no as option either.

Pretty cool Tom, how long did it take you to jam that cow into the tree?

The FB pages/groups would be lit up with this news if a bear was spotted.

Must've been a Jackson County escapee

But I'm positive of what I saw. If I can spoke an expired registration sticker in a moving vehicle, I'm pretty sure I can make out dead animals still intact. I saw it coming so I slowed down to see what it was as I always do with other animals. My wife hates when I do that to name the animal or guess it's approximate weight.
                              So, what's the estimated weight?
