If you are wanting to stay budget friendly then go with a TikKa. They are some of the smoothest best shooting rifles out of the box. I just sold a Christensen Arms Mesa in a 6.5 creed that shot 1/2 and I was comfortable with to 700 yards. So either of those would be good choices.

I've looked at those Bergara SP quite a bit. I really like the 308 version and I'm no expert but you may do a little research to make sure you like the ballistics the 6.5 gets out of a 18' barrel. A lot of people say you want 24" ideal for that round, 22" at the shortest to maximize its ballistic capabilities. 6.5 is really about the same as a 270 within 500 yards but shines a little more at distance say 600 yards+. Great round but seems a short barrel 6.5 is a bit counterproductive to what is was designed for for distance shots.

Get you a good 270 rifle and you'll be set forever.

I'd pick up a sako and see how it feels to you, I haven't held a ton of rifles but wouldn't hesitate to buy another sako
