Good Luck to you! I tagged a 12 point Whitetail in Montana near Livingston, MT a few years ago. Had the meat processed and shipped home and had a Shoulder Mount done there and shipped home to Texas.

I grew up in Billings, but the Air Force has me in Texas. Going to follow along, as I'm doing a self guided hunt next fall (If I get drawn) in Region 7.

      Good luck with your hunt!

        Day 1 in the books.

We drove around all day. Hunted an 11,000 acre ranch.

Tons of does and yearlings. We probably saw 200. Only saw 10 bucks.

I ended up shooting a 4x3 that I now wish I had not shot. The guide talked me into it, but it was the 2nd biggest buck we saw all day. It was my decision and I’ll own it.
Saw some beautiful country and had a blast.

Might try and do some bird hunting or prairie dog hunting. We saw a lot of sharp tail grouse and Hungarian partridge and some pheasants too.

        I’ll post pics

Before you get disappointed with that buck brother think about all the folks that’s never been, let alone hunted Montana. I would be one of those folks. Congrats man and enjoy your time there!

X2. I wish I could regret a trip like that.

Congrats on the buck and enjoy that beautiful country

Had a great morning. Helped a buddy kill a great buck. Stalked him about a mile. He made a great 340 shot. Dragging him back to the road was not fun!
