I'm sure the thieves will be back at it shortly... life is tough out there when you consciously choose not to work but you have to pay for your new cell phone, car, big screen, clothes etc...lets be honest government support funded by everyone else's hard earned wages can only go so far.

We had HPD on standby but hands were tied, jurisdiction. QB was ultimately who got the wheels turning. Was frustrating waiting for several hours while watching unit 300ft away perform traffic stop. I think there was an incorrect address with dispatch at one point so this is not intended to sound like LE bashing. Although, the sense of urgency (or lack thereof) was frustrating. Especially when we've got the dudes nailed!

That sucks. It's not hard to write a search warrant if it is one of our gps equipped devices. Can't think of how it would be different if it's not our GPS beacon. You need someone in property crimes to take an interest. Probably find a lot more recently stolen articles.

So was anyone arrested? Or did they just claim to have bought it and not know it was stolen? If this is the case are they investigating to bust the thief?

And claim not to know what the unit is used for... Got all the equip and materials in the yard to shoot a bore. All they're missing is the drilling rig.
