                          Lucky for me, I was hunting with a man who has some of the best dogs in South Texas. If Roy Hindes is busy, kevin is your guy. Personally, I’d call Kevin first.

                          I shot the deer early. Maybe 6:45 or so. We had other things to do. So we waited til around 10:00 am to go after him. The video was very helpful as it appeared the shot got both legs. Kevin was convinced he wasn’t hit in vitals but with leg injuries, they’re easy to catch if you give them time to stiffen up. Well he was right. When he dropped the dogs, they were on the deer in less than two minutes. A short run through the brush and they had him down. He was hiding like a fawn tries to hide when you walk up on one. Only he had two dogs attached to him. Total track was just over 500 yards from the shot.
