Some of the guys have solar panels on their covert cell cameras but the wires seem to be a magnet for raccoons. They have constant problems with them.

At these prices, we might be installing conduit and hard wiring them.

Cows ate may solar panel wire. I rewired it with the wrong size plug, found a plug that almost fit and preceded to break the female slot inside the camera. Asked for a replacement part or somewhere to buy it, still waiting on reply.

So I have a $60 solar panel with no hole to plug it into.

I'm giving these a shot for now, say Made In USA so shouldn't be too bad.

        $15.50 for 48-

With prices like these, I sure am glad I built external battery packs for all my trail cameras now…
All I have to do is swap packs out for half of them, and do nothing for the other half with solar panels. Each setup should more than cover me on ultra video mode for an entire season.

Most Tesla cars on the road are engineered to 1,000,000 mile battery service life with 80% capacity still available at that million miles.

Battery chemistry has come a LONG way in the last 10 years. So much so that, barring some kind of defect in the pack, the battery pack lifespan will FAR outlast the engineering of the rest of the car… any any other car on the road for that matter.

From the dealer 10K and more.

These are re-furb units. They take your bad battery and clean it out and recharge it. They actually come to you and do the swap out in your driveway. Can not imagine the mess they leave for the environment.
              New battery 200k - re-furb 100K...

Replaced the battery on my truck a couple weeks ago, was $200.

It doesn't seem that long ago when paying $60 for an Interstate battery at a truck stop was flat-out getting gouged because they knew you were in a bind.
