Sometimes you just need a break.
I was sitting at my desk yesterday and around 1PM when I looked at the radar and saw the forecast calling for quite a few storms out west to build up in the late afternoon/evening.
A quick text exchange with the wife to check the schedule and I bailed out of the office around 3, running late. Grabbed my kit from the house and started driving west. I'm not a storm chaser or meteorologist but from what I could tell Benjamin would probably be a good spot.
3.5hrs later I was posted up on a CR just south of 82 between Seymour and Benjamin.

Between Benjamin and Vernon I found this double rainbow. The wind was howling and when I attempted to set my tripod up it blew over. I caught it before the camera hit the ground. I had to make do with a quick handheld capture.

I rolled in the driveway just before midnight after almost 500 miles, tons of rain, some hail, crazy wind, $120+ in fuel and a pretty wicked double rainbow. It was worth it.
