So I went fishing with a buddy years ago and he said if I would bring the drinks he would bring the snacks. After 4 hours on the boat he asked are you ready for a snack and I said heck yea. He broke out some cheese and crackers and those things. I said oh hell no. I’ve lived too many years without eating that crap and ain’t gonna start today. 3 hours later I was starving and I have to tell ya in those circumstances it wasn’t that bad.

I used to think vienna sausage was a delicacy we only got on special occasions growing up.

I had fond memories of eating Vienna sausages and crackers on fishing trips
with my dad as a kid. I bought some fairly recently but couldn’t get past the gelatin-

I hear ya. Going fishing or hunting with my grandad was special and if they were good enough for him, they were good enough for me too. Never looked at or studied the can so I don't know if they are the same now or not. I remember my grandma would put a can or two of them in a pot of sauerkraut for a special touch.

I grew up eating Vi-eeeena sausages. My dad and I could not go fishing without them in the boat…every time…and crackers and cheese…and ample large Coked in the bottle!

Vienny sausage between two saltine crackers was my dad’s “go-to” snack, and he’d be dammed if he was gonna bring something different just for me. [emoji2369]
