I just moved to Texas and went to ole boys place outside Waco.
It was kind of a day hunt, low fence deal. Not advertised but from a guy I met on a Facebook group.
There was some good bucks on camera but weren’t showing up as much.
I’ve hunted from Hawaii to Maryland and I must say the hill country deer are on another level of alertness and very skittish especially for opening day.
They are right up there with axis!
I ended up shooting two dry does, they might of birthed fawns but didn’t have any with them.
I look forward to more hunts here in texas.
