Whats the method to hunting them? What type of shot, distance, setup, etc?

    Good skilling MrBull.
Layout blinds, #2 shot, had 6 dozen decoys out in front of us and shots were 20-25 yards with a couple about 30. Hunted in corn field.

This morning we slayed the ducks over decoys in the corner of a flooded field.

Tomorrow will be another Sandhill Crane hunt.

I've seen them folded with a 410 and lead 4s. When decoyed, they can be killed with steel 4s easy

Wow. Nicely done. Do you typically see widgeon in WY this late in the year?

Great tablefare. Just cook rare, med/rare. No need for marinade. Texture is just like beef. No fat like you stated.

We’ve killed a few in Brackettville and everyone of them has tasted outstanding. Cooked/seasoned um like a steak… medium rare.

Would love to have a bundle of flight feathers for fletching some wood arrows. Anyone want to clip a bunch with side cutters I would certainly pay the postage.

I live in Pampa. Love hearing the first cranes of the year in October. We've had an abundance
