Who makes a quality 4X compact scope?

Needs a decent sized reticle. Not one that is scope bore or 32mm. Under $300 would be nice.

Leupold, Nikon, Weaver, Burris, and the high end makers have stopped.

I have a new Bushnell Banner that seems to be very decent, it has heavy circle and crosshair.

The eye relief is on par with the older Nikon 4x’s.

If Leupold still makes the 4x28 rimfire, it will hold up to anything you have.

Acog will get you there but out of price range. With all the new magnifiers and red dots they replaced the fixed powers and the other half of the people are just getting the adjustable range versions. Market on fox powers is low so not profitable to make either.

I have a 4X ACOG that sure is fun to shoot with. My grandsons love it. But it is a bit out of your price range, but you might find a used one or a clone. They are out there...

Leupold still does, but it’s not in the catalog, gotta go through the custom group. Still reasonable. This is your only choice if you want a gloss finish.

+1 Came here to say that. For the price they're about the only option I know of. Up from there you can find used surplus ACOGs of um, dubious provenance around.
