I'm actually on stand now waiting on a mature doe to slip up. Got here Friday afternoon and so far 3 for 3!
No monster bucks on any cameras but this 9 point was 6.5 years old and solid for Stonewall, Texas. I have seen 2 fawns that look super young. Honestly, almost as if just out of spots.....they both looked quite feeble.

Man I haven’t checked in here for a while. Lots of good bucks getting killed in the hill country. We are headed back the weekend of the 17th for what will be our last trip of the year. It’s been a weird year for us. My dad, my brother, and I have all bought new houses near or during deer season and it’s impacted our time in the stand pretty negatively. Fortunately we’ve been able to capitalize and take some good mature deer in our few sits. I’d be willing to bet some blood hits the ground on this next trip. Super excited to get back in a stand watching deer and out of this Houston traffic.

4 dead bucks on my 10 min drive to Harper...they are chasing. That being said, we haven’t seen near as much rut activity that we saw last year by this time. It’s almost like the does are coming in season one at a time [emoji28]
