The problem today is people know they can get away with terrible behavior without getting decked in the nose. If they do get decked in the nose they know they gain instant fame and sympathy.

We should have never gone away from decking crappy people in the nose.

This all goes back to the 90's when Zero Tolerance got put into schools. Now kids grow up without the ability to defend themselves or fight back without fear of being charged with a crime. The fear of a bloody nose would have changed this situation I believe.
