Deer like this are hard. Not sure of your exact location, but I am assuming you had a very wet spring like most of Texas. Deer on our place in the hill country have taken HUGE jumps from last year. I can guarantee you that some of the four year old we are seeing this year will never have better bone on their head with an average or below average spring. Makes me consider taking a deer this year, when ideally I would let them walk for one more year. Now if your rainfall has not been way above average early this year, then my point is mute. Outstanding looking deer Sir.
