Update :
Got into Germany right on time........Lufthansa was very impressive as it had been years since I flew with them. Customs in Frankfurt was a complete fiasco......almost 2 hours of BS!!! By the time everything was sorted out we ran (literally ) thru the airport to catch a connection to Madrid!!!
At that gate we were told our luggage was just being removed as we had not shown up.......WTH! Flew to Madrid not really knowing our luggage/gear status, but too annoyed to think about it truthfully. Ironically, my bow case was the 2nd item to come off the conveyor belt....5th item was my bag full of hunting clothes and Schnee mountain boots... ...whew!
Our outfitter and owner German of GBH SAFARIS and his guide Quintos were outside of baggage claim with huge smiles and warm handshakes.
2.5 hours later we were in the Gredos Region of Spain and life is good. Yes, Denise slept most of the way........I guess the Ibex hunting stories got old.......lol.[emoji1]
The rut appears to be in full swing so hopefully a dumb or insane one runs my way.[emoji106]
Early dinner at our boutique hotel, sharing of hunting pictures and we both were wore out. I am looking forward to chilly temps (40's) in the mountains as Denise will be out with a tour guide doing her thing.
