I would think that would work, I short one at 25 yards with a 20 ga with 1 ounce 8 shot heavy dove loads and he folded

Ive killed plenty with #4 and #6 birdshot at 30-50 yds with mod chokes.

Absolutely.

I’ve killed them at ~30 yds with 7 1/2 20ga dove loads.

Probly out to 45 with #6 modified while pheasant hunting.
