I believe he said 12. Sounds like it's a 12 acre pasture now though.

I've measured it a few times on google earth (creek is one boundary) and it comes out closer to 12 acres I think
Whats 12-16 acres of timber worth?

There are some really great deer on this thread. I missed the only east Tx buck I've ever shot at. I really like hunting that area, even if I hate climbing trees and afraid of heights. Its a whole different ball game from south Texas. I'd really like to get a 130-140" class east texas deer.

I feel out of a lock-on in 2012 and haven't been higher than a few feet off the ground since lol...the bucks I've killed were all out of ground blinds

They dropped me off in the dark and told me to climb up as high as I felt comfortable, I thought I was up pretty high until the sun came up. They laughed when they pulled up to pick me up and saw me sitting in the tree. I was sitting in a popup in a small opening that was surrounded by standing water when I missed my buck. I had to wade in nearly waste deep water to get to it. It is a little different than corning roads in south Texas

You only need that one perfect acre, since i had back surgery I swapped to popup blinds and would never go back to lock-ons only.

This is actually the situation I was in... the lack of hunting pressure really played a key role in the daytime movement of these bucks. That and my entry/exit were flawless. That allowed me to hunt this area a lot more than you normally could cuz I could get in and out of the stand without bumping any deer

Top buck was killed by buckmastertexas, aka Gene. Gene had a heartattack a few years back doing what he loved. Buck scored high 140s

Bottom pic is a 9pt I killed in North Orange County.

I have more, but don't want to be a thread hog.
