Good time of year to pop some coyotes. Crazy what a pack can do to a fawn crop.

My house does still have their fawns hidden. Seen a few in The pasture and found half of a dead one.

That's pretty cool stuff. I had a doe last year that had two fawns on the cam pics for the longest and then one of the fawns disappeared.

Most of my cams are taking pics of roads and feed stations with no grass. I have a good wet weather creek running thru my property with good grass and browse. Also have the Colorado river as my south boundary. All getting short but hoping for another rain soon. We are feeding all we can afford with these high fuel prices.

Of the 12-15 does around my house have only seen one fawn that has survived. Found a few dead ones.

What do you think it was from?

Combination of heat, & mamas in poor physical condition.
Don’t think it was predation, in the three years I’ve lived here I’ve never seen or heard a coyote or seen a bobcat. The population of deer in our neighborhood is pretty high so there is a limited amount of food. We also have quite a few axis so that makes it tougher for the WT.
