Alright, Alright, Alright!

From Elk to Whitetail, New Mexico to Texas, Friends to Family!!!

Bringing it back up for the opening weekend evening hunt.

The whole family is hunting this evening in the Polk County Neches River bottom.

Summer and Talen are posted up in Dillon Blind on a 6’ Platform over looking a big feeder pen with Alfalfa Hay & Corn buffet.

Bryce and I are about 1.5 miles South locked up in a Maverick Blind on an 8’ Platform overlooking a big feeder pen with the same menu.

We are an MLD lease but the family has chosen bow only today.
Other lease members… Not so much!

Our stands are set up for gun or bow. Feeder pen centers are at 20-30 yards with feeders hanging from tree limbs. Alfalfa on the ground.
Set ups are for North or South winds as we have blinds on both sides of the pens.

Target for Summer is a 5 yr Old 8 pnt we call The Bulldog
Bryce will be after a 6 yr old 10 pnt we call Comb Over.
Talen is on Doe Patrol and I’m running a camera.

Acorns are starting to fall but we still have deer hitting the corn and hay.

Let’s see what happens this evening
