I've bought fried chicken there too. Best fried chicken ever.

Hands down the best grocery store fried chicken. Caldwell is better than Rockdale though. Sunday morning around 10 is a good time to get it.

When it’s fresh, it’s good. When it’s not, like chewing on shoe leather.

Yessir. Only had a couple bad batches. The last time I had it was Easter. I couldn't eat it...literally couldn't chew it. Just like everything else, it can't be perfect every time, but it is more often than not.
