Commentator just said, “In some of these power conferences, namely the SEC and Big10, you’re basically already playing playoff quality games, because there are so many good teams in the running for those spots. In other conferences like the Pac10 or Big12, there aren’t any. They’re just hoping that maybe these power conferences take each other out and they can sneak through the back door. But you’re not seeing that same level of high caliber football week in and week out as you do in the SEC and Big10.”

Was sorta a waste of everyone’s time, really. Duh.

I believe it started a few years back with Auburn fans claiming LSU fans smelled like Corndogs. I think that’s all there is to it.
