I'm just the lease manager. It was a phone call I didn't want to make to the landowner.

Cut the top strand off the panel making spikes sticking up...they'll stop leaning on it.

Problem with barbed wire on a feed pen is the runs are so short that it’s hard to get the fence tight (even with h braces) the wire just doesn’t have enough length to stretch and work like it’s supposed to. I can promise you a 4strand barbed wire fence won’t keep them out if they want in. If a cow can get her head between the wires they can/will go thru it.

who's footing the bill for the beeves?

Nope. I have two strands one at 6" above the other at 12" and the bastages raid me every day

                    Some expensive ground beef.

Most prefer it already packaged though

Why not just by the welded cattle panels that are 10ft section that you pin together with wire on the bottom. Then just put a T post at every joint. i have seen them they are usually a 1" pipe frame like hootens or Priefert panels that then have standard 4x4 cattle panel welded on the bottomn section. That way they are portable and will keep pigs and cattle out.

You sent hog panels to do a cattle panels job.

I’d be surprised if the landowner doesn’t kick y’all off, and make you pay for his loss.

                        Good luck.

I would send the landowner a bill for damage to the feeder and lost protein!

                            Deer panels

Buy and cry once, cattle panels and barbed wire will be pushed down or loose
Welded panels also work better in rocky county and are easy to move

                              Cows

Cannot remember the exact name but they call them cow oaks maybe water oaks and the cows would eat till there belly's were so full it kill them.
