Check what the can is rated for. If 300 WM, it can be used on anything down to a 204 Ruger as long as the rifle barrel thread pitch is the same.

I’ve got 2. One is a semi custom a buddy built with a Criterion barrel. 6.5 C is the semi custom and the 308 I chopped, recrowned and threaded the barrel to 16”. Both are more accurate than me.
