Sarrels visit over the weekend

The stop resulted in a new Blue Ridge SR. I had one on order but decided to take this one home with me. It is 60” and 50@28. I think it is a little smoother and harder hitting than my Suoerstition...

Going through the arrow bucket and found a half dozen old Easton XX75’s in 2213 spine. Plugged them into the 3 Rivers calculator and it looks like they may work out of my 49# longbow with around 225...

I like to think of traditional archery as a lifetime of constant tweaks. Luckily, I like to tweak! And sharpen heads for that matter...finally getting decent at it but it took some work!

Check out this crazy shot angle. This is the doe I shot a couple weeks ago. Per my rangefinder, it was 14 yards to where she was standing from my tree stand (approximately 16 feet up in the tree)....
