I don't like to climb more than 12' and keep the feeder at about 15 yrds for my recurve. Beyond that or higher than that, just seems to increase my chances of wounding game.

I love a head shot when gun hunting, but don't think I would want to take one on a deer with a trad bow. Any string jump and things could go way wrong. On a pig though...that is a different story.
