Sorry to hear OP. Even though you bought a new motor, keep the old one and rebuild it with your son's. They will love the adventure and it is a very easy motor to rebuild. Very well worth it.

Nice build! Careful if you ever do get around to using AV gas. Remember you have to mix it with pump gas 50/50 due to AV gas's less specific gravity weight. If not you'll be building another motor.
