If it's carburated it's not a ficht. A ficht motor will also have F as the first letter in the model number. The problems with the ficht were only with the v6 version but hardly anybody will work on...

I'd say if you haven't shot a rifle in 20 years you need to get closer than 700yds unless you are already and accomplished long range marksman. 300 winmag is what I'd choose.
