Another vote for Hawk Heliums. Short or long. Look into an aider loop while you're at it. I use a one step aider that travels up the tree with me, instead of staying on an individual step.

Yes, they will correct faster... at the expense of some speed. As far as aerodynamics are concerned fletching is just useful drag, and adding drag will make it steer better. Just with a slower arrow....

I was smart enough to time the trip to coincide with a cowtown shoot though, so the lack of pigs wasn't an issue.
