Get that mini split in a heat pump version. Not much more expensive that the straight AC. The wood stove puts out great heat but youíre likely going to wake up cold.

I wouldn’t spend a ton of extra money to go to the 18 SEER 2 speed. 16 will be tons more efficient than what you had and a less complicated than the 18. WiFi thermostat is nice but not necessary....

Goodman is nothing special. They work, but definitely more of a builder grade procuct. Carrier, Trane and Mitsubishi get my top votes. And a product is only as good as its installer in most cases....

Iíve used 427A as a 22 retrofit numerous times with good results. If money is kinda tight just do the evaporator change and retrofit. Could get a some more miles out of your condenser.
