My front sling stud on my 45-70 occasionally wallops my finger given my hand placement and the stiff recoil.

All the cartridges mentioned are good. The 6.5cm does have about 2/3 the recoil of the 270, which is noticeable.

My favorite part of the thread is that you have 30+ guns in different cartridges....

Shot 3 3-shot 1.5" groups with the Federal Power Shoks. 1st shot was always on the money and the next couple walked a hair. Not too bad for an 8x scope and crappy cheek weld. I bet some nicer ammo...
