Oil leaking around mid section of outboard.

There are oil streaks on the side of the mid section of the outboard. I checked inside and around the powerhead and it’s dry. Also plenty of oil in the tank. Any thoughts on what is causing it? It's a Yamaha 2 stroke fuel injection ox66. It was rebuilt in December. I’ve been leaving the motor tilted down recently which is probably why I’m just now really noticing it.i

2nd pic you can see the oil accumulated in that space between the power head and mid section.

To me that looks like unburnt oil. Maybe a leak around the pump?

Freeze plug in bottom of the block leaking? I’m no mechanic but that’s t burn a hell of a lot of boat gas guess!!

I didn’t see any oil in the upper unit area. Not sure if it has affected fuel consumption.

Fuel is leaking out of the carbs. Probably when it tilted up. Nothing but a cosmetic problem.

It’s direct injection. It doesn’t have carbs.

I didn't read your original post closely enough.
Does it have all those small gray oil hoses? I'd clean it all up including the cowling pan and then look for leaks and seepage around any oil system components. It could be a problem if it's related to a single cylinder.

I believe it's when you trim the motor all the way up. The oil leaks from the reservoir top cap area

Oil also collects in air baffle if you have one and can leak out when tilted (carb models, not sure on direct injection)

Pull the cowling and look around. It’s coming off the motor somewhere. Probably the oil reservoir or air baffle. It doesn’t look like a lot and probably wouldn’t concern me much unless it’s an injection hose leaking.

My guess also. Do you tilt it all the way up to transport?
