    Help with snake ID

Found at a condo near Flora-Bama. Sorry for the orange tint that is due to turtle light requirement.
Only about 12 inches long. I think the head looks flat and triangular because someone stepped on the head to kill it. I forget but think the colors looked green and gold but it was hard to tell with the lighting.

Keeps saying upload of photo failed so let me try again later tonight or in the morning.
It looks like the green snake beside it blends in with the screen

You might try texting the pic to your email and then from there send the pic from email to your phone. Then upload that version of pic that was sent from email. That’s how I do it.

Is that it’s back or belly? I say cottonmouth.

It looks rolled in the middle and there is the district screaming face in the jagged pattern towards the tail.

Heck, I might not have posted if I had known all of y’all were going to say moccasin
Still trying to get the other photo to load. It will show a pointed yellow tail. That’s not good, right?

Yea, if it's got a yellow tail, not the best snake for a pet. I found out the hard way, when I was a kid. Those yellow tail snakes only have two teeth, cause they from the backwoods.
