That looks like a gun shot would that healed up. Had one like that at my house many years ago. It was fresh and looked nasty. Didn't seem to bother the buck though.

GOOD GRIEF, that sucker looks like he dang near lost his whole left shoulder!! It's amazing what they can survive!! It would be great to kill him if he's on your hit list then do a careful examination of that wound. ;)b
