Looking forward to this Bob Lee Memorial! Will be so fun!

The course will officially open at 8am, but if everything is ready at 7:30, shooters can go out as soon as they register.

My new handle is not ready, so I picked up the limbs from Rob. Got them stuck on my other BL handle, got a string rigged up, and the Franken-bow is sending them down range.

I got a 2-day pass from my wife, so I'll be there bright and early Saturday morning!

I thought I shared this earlier, but now I'm not seeing the post. Anyway, the Sleep Inn and Suites at 2825 North Earl Rudder Freeway in Bryan is offering a discount on rooms booked for shooters participating in the Bob Lee Memorial, thru choicehotels.com. Angela is the contact rep, and the number for the hotel is (979)485-5577. The Sleep Inn is at the corner of Hwy 6 and FM 2818, and is less than a 10 minute drive from the range.

Counting down the days...

Folks, bring your bug spray and/or Thermacell. I think they are going to fog the lanes today or tomorrow, but with all the recent rain, the mosquitoes are the size of hummingbirds and fairly aggressive. Not much we can do in some areas, as thick as the brush is.

There will be bottled water in coolers every 5-6 targets, but you might bring a bottle to start out with. Make sure you are staying hydrated!

Well, not gonna make it. Just got word that my daughter and grandkids will be here Saturday morning to spend the weekend with us for father’s day!
I’m way more excited to spend time with them than y’all anyways!

Is this standard TBoT shoot fees?

I am double checking with the powers that be on the fees. I ‘think’ it is $15/round, but I’m not 100%. I’ll post up once I hear for sure.

Idk what the fees are, but I do know this is it a TBoT shoot.

The range at BCAC had a 10 minute torrential downpour yesterday. There isn't any standing water to worry about, and most of what is there should dry out today. I walked most of the course in tennis shoes, but mud boots wouldn't be a bad idea. Some of the trails are a little slick in areas. The mosquitoes are pretty aggressive, much like they are everywhere right now. Spray and/or a Thermacell are strongly suggested, lol.

Since this is a TBOT shoot is there going to be a self bow class?

While this is not a TBoT shoot, we are following TBoT classes. There will be a self bow class.

Here is the answer I got on the entry fees: $15/round, and you can buy up to 3 mulligans per round for $1 per mulligan.

The course was absolutely fantastic! I had a great time, shot two rounds, and managed not to get devoured by mosquitos. Thanks for the great shoot!

One of, if not the best courses I have shot this year!!!! Hope to see this shoot become a “regular” on the Texas circuit!!!

Thank you Brazos Cty for putting on this memorial tournament in honor of Bob Lee. We had lots of fun seeing everyone and shooting with friends. Bob Lee Memorial will be one I will put on my schedule every year.

I'm interested to see how many people turned out to shoot. It sure seemed like a good number of folks were on the course.

This one is definitely going on my list of must do shoots next year.

On Facebook they said there were 99 people who signed in and 195 scorecards sold.

Bisch kindly offered to post the scores up here once we had them. We’ll try to finish them up tonight and get them to him. I know folks want to see them. :)

I know my score and will pay an extra Mulligan fee if you'll not post it!

I attended my first traditional shoot, didn’t win, had a blast, met some great people, found out there is a difference in aiming a recurve and longbow. Also learned you shoot better with lower poundage. I shall return.

Oh and match was well run, great course!

This was my crew on Sunday. You can't see me because I'm 50-yards back looking for an arrow!

I shot with them Sunday morning, some fine folks no doubt!

The awards that were not picked up on Sunday will be mailed out today or tomorrow. Some of the winners I will see in the near future and I will hand deliver... congratulations to everyone who came out!
